Unlike popular belief, Sikhs do not believe that every religion leads to Vaheguru but that there is only one way. The Gurus said that the only path to liberation, or attaining 'Mukti,' is 'Naam Simran' or meditation/remembering the name or existence of Vaheguru 24/7, which anyone can do, whether Sikh or not.Then why be a Sikh? Sikhi makes it a core belief, with institutions founded by the Gurus for a faster way of liberation. However, the path can be difficult depending on the individual; one should have strong faith in the Guru.
