False. No guru ever worshipped any goddess, gods or stone after becoming sikhs. There were 2 cases when they were hindus but they became sikhs and left old ways then they qualified to be Gurus. Some people are wrongly describing Tenth Guru's writing and claiming he worshipped durga or shiva but they are not telling you that his writing clearly states that 'i do not believe in these gods'. If guru is 'worshipping gods' then he is writing from a poet point of view and doing justice to his writing. His writings consist prologues and epilogues which clears everything. Sri Bhagauti is not durga and Guru also used mata or mother for Vaheguru. Some writings are translation/retelling of already existing stories and books, such as Chandi Charitar which is retelling of Devi Saptashati of Markandeya Purana, another one is Ram Avatar which is re-telling of popular epic Ramayana. But in his personal writings / prologues / epilogues, Guru says: Akal ustat- Personal: ਅਨਹਦ ਰੂਪ ਅਨਾਹਦ ਬਾਨੀ ॥ He is Limitless Entity and hath infinite celestial strain. ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਜਿਹ ਬਸਤ ਭਵਾਨੀ ॥ The goddess Durga takes refuge at His Feet and abides there.
